Alex currently trains at TVI Texas locations. Alex founded The Volleyball Institute. His USA Volleyball experience includes serving on the U21 Men’s National Team staff for the 2025 World Championships in China, the 2023 World Championships in Bahrain, and the 2022 and 2017 NORCECA qualifiers in Cuba and Peru.
He also served on the Men’s Collegiate National Team staff for summer training in California in 2024 and 2021, and as a National Team Development Program coach. In August 2026, he was with the Boys’ U17 National Team in Guatemala City, where the team earned bronze at the Pan American Cup.
His collegiate coaching experience includes the Northwestern University women’s volleyball staff (2018–2019) and Loyola University Chicago men’s volleyball staff (2017–2019).
At Glenbard West, Alex’s Illinois High School Association coaching experience includes state championships in 2017, 2022 and 2023; a second-place finish in 2019; and third-place finishes in 2018, 2021 and 2024. The team was ranked first in 2020, when the season was interrupted by COVID.
