About TVI
Is TVI a club?
No. A club fields teams that compete under its name. TVI is a training organization: athletes train with us to get better, then take it back to whatever team, school or club they already play for. We’re not an alternative to your team, and we’d never ask you to leave one.
Where do sessions actually happen?
At gyms that already operate in your community. Each location page lists its gyms, with parking and entry notes.
What ages do you work with?
Private Training is for any age, adults included. Foundations is for ages 7 to 18, grouped by age and then by skill, where it runs. Any team can book a Team Camp. High school programs (varsity, JV and freshman) are our biggest group, and club teams and other school teams are welcome too.
Are Trainers background-checked?
Yes. Every Trainer is background-checked through Ankored and trained in abuse prevention.
Do you still offer Recruiting, Open Gyms or Mental and Physical Performance?
No. Those programs have been retired. Private Training is the closest fit for most athletes, and we’re happy to help you choose.
Booking and prices
How do I book?
Find your Hub on Our Locations, then tap Book beside a Trainer, or tap a class. Your Hub’s booking page opens with the times and prices, and you’ll create a free account the first time you book.
Which Trainer should I book?
Start with where you want to train and what your athlete wants to work on. On Our People, choose your Hub, open ‘Filter by skill, position or age,’ and pick the athlete’s age and the skill or position to work on. Each gym on the location page lists who trains there. Still not sure? Send us a note and we’ll suggest two or three Trainers who fit.
How much does it cost?
Each Trainer sets their own rate, and prices differ by format. See typical prices on our Pricing page; the exact price is always on our booking page, before you pay. Cards are charged when you book. We accept credit and debit cards, except American Express. We don’t take cash.
When are new times released?
We release lesson availability one month at a time. Current times are always live on our booking page.
Where should a beginner start?
Athletes aged 7 to 18 can start in Foundations where it runs near you. Otherwise, and for adults, Private Training is built around wherever the athlete is starting from. There’s no free trial session.
How do I find or change my bookings?
Sign in to your booking account from our booking page and open the Bookings tab. You can move a Private Training session there if it stays with the same Trainer, location and month. For anything else, text or call your Hub.
Can I book for someone else, or give lessons as a gift?
Yes. Book on our booking page and add the athlete as a new member when you check out. For a gift, text or call your Hub and we’ll help set it up.
Where do I get a receipt?
Text or call your Hub and we’ll send one.
Can two athletes train together?
Yes. Private Training can be one athlete, two (a 2:1 lesson), or a custom mini-group of 3 to 6. You choose when you check out, and one family books and pays.
We have tryouts coming up. What should we book?
Private Training is the most focused way to get ready, because your Trainer works on exactly what your athlete wants to sharpen. We can’t promise how tryouts go, but we’ll help your athlete walk in prepared and confident.
Can my whole team train with you?
Yes, through Team Camps. Any team can book one: high school programs are our biggest group, and club teams and other school teams are welcome too. We bring the camp to your gym, and your team invites its own athletes. Use the request form on our Team Camps page to plan one.
Your session
How long is a session?
Most sessions are 60 minutes. Team Camps run two to four hours a day, and Special Clinics are multi-hour.
What should my athlete bring?
Athletic shoes for indoor courts (non-marking), knee pads, a water bottle and comfortable clothes. We provide all the training equipment, and there’s no uniform.
What if we’re running late?
Text or call your Hub as soon as you can. Hub numbers are here.
Can parents watch?
Yes. You’re welcome to stay and watch, or to drop off. Some gyms have their own rules; at our Joliet gym an adult must stay for the whole lesson.
What happens in bad weather?
If local schools cancel for weather, we cancel too. We decide at least 2 hours before the session and text you. A cancellation by TVI is always a full refund with no fee.
Changes and cancellations
How do I cancel or change a session?
Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and choose a refund to your card, minus a 3.5% processing fee, or account credit that has no fee and never expires. Within 24 hours of the start, a session can’t be refunded, credited or moved. You can move a Private Training session yourself in your booking account if it stays with the same Trainer, location and month. For anything else, email us.
What if my Trainer cancels or doesn’t show up?
If your Trainer or TVI cancels, you get a full refund with no fee, or credit if you’d rather. If a Trainer doesn’t show up, tell us right away. You’ll get a full refund plus one free session of the same length, and a person from TVI will follow up.
