How Much Do Private Volleyball Lessons Cost?

Typical prices in each TVI Hub, why they vary, and what a 60‑minute session includes.

Typical prices by Hub

A 60‑minute 1:1 session with a TVI Trainer is $75–$180, depending on the Trainer and Hub. Here is the typical price in each Hub, from our booking page:

TVI Illinois
$100–$180 for a 60‑minute 1:1 session, depending on the Trainer.
TVI Texas
$100–$160 for a 60‑minute 1:1 session, depending on the Trainer.
TVI Oklahoma
$75 for a 60‑minute 1:1 session.
TVI Kansas City
$105 for a 60‑minute 1:1 session.
TVI Northern California
$170 for a 60‑minute 1:1 session.

You’ll always see the exact price on our booking page before you pay. Nothing is charged until you book.

Why prices vary

Each Trainer sets their own rate, so prices vary by Trainer, format and session length. That’s why a Hub can show a range: two Trainers in the same Hub can charge different amounts.

Every Trainer’s times and prices are live on our booking page. Each Trainer’s profile on Our People also shows their own price when they have times.

One athlete, two, or a small group

Private Training doesn’t have to be one-on-one. Train alone, bring a friend or teammate for a 2:1 lesson, or gather your own group of 3 to 6, which our booking page calls a custom mini-group.

The prices above are for a 1:1 session. Most Trainers also offer 2:1 and small-group lessons, and their listing shows each price. You choose at check-out, and one family books and pays.

Would you rather join a scheduled group with athletes at a similar level? Look at Mini‑Group Training.

What’s in a 60‑minute session

Most sessions are 60 minutes. Private Training is built around you and your needs: whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned veteran, the lesson starts with what you want to improve.

  1. Identify the problem

Your Trainer watches you play and finds the one thing holding you back.

  2. Apply the solution

Your Trainer breaks it down and makes it make sense to you, no matter how long it takes.

  3. Make it stick

Try it in game-like reps, then leave knowing what to bring to your next practice.

We provide all the training equipment, and there’s no uniform. Bring athletic shoes for indoor courts (non-marking), knee pads, a water bottle and comfortable clothes.

Sessions happen at gyms that already operate in your community. Parents are welcome to stay and watch, or to drop off.

How to book

Find your Hub on Our Locations, then tap Book beside a Trainer. Your Hub’s booking page opens with the times and prices, and you’ll create a free account the first time you book.

Cards are charged when you book. We accept credit and debit cards, except American Express. We don’t take cash.

We release lesson availability one month at a time. Private lessons can be booked until 24 hours before they start.

Not sure which Trainer to choose? Send us a note and we’ll suggest two or three Trainers who fit.

Cancelling or changing a session

Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and choose a refund to your card, minus a 3.5% processing fee, or account credit that has no fee and never expires. Within 24 hours of the start, a session can’t be refunded, credited or moved. You can move a Private Training session yourself in your booking account if it stays with the same Trainer, location and month. For anything else, email us.

Questions about cost

Is there a free trial session?

No, there’s no free trial session. Athletes aged 7 to 18 can start in Foundations where it runs near you. Otherwise, Private Training is built around wherever the athlete is starting from.

Can two athletes train together?

Yes. Private Training can be one athlete, two (a 2:1 lesson), or a custom mini-group of 3 to 6. You choose when you check out, and one family books and pays.

Is Private Training only for experienced players?

No. It is for athletes new to volleyball and for experienced players working on specific parts of their game.

Do you take cash?

No. We accept credit and debit cards, except American Express. Cards are charged when you book.

What if my Trainer cancels or doesn’t show up?

If your Trainer or TVI cancels, you get a full refund with no fee, or credit if you’d rather. If a Trainer doesn’t show up, tell us right away. You’ll get a full refund plus one free session of the same length, and a person from TVI will follow up.

Can I book for someone else, or give lessons as a gift?

Yes. Book on our booking page and add the athlete as a new member when you check out. For a gift, text or call your Hub and we’ll help set it up.
