Johnny has nine years of experience playing high-level volleyball, followed by three years of coaching. He attended Glenbard West High School, contributing to three state championship teams and also playing at Hitmen and Sports Performance. At Lindenwood University, he played as an outside hitter and libero, serving as team captain in his junior and senior years. Transitioning to coaching, Johnny achieved success at Sports Performance, leading both girls and boys teams to gold at Nationals in his first year. He later served as the Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach at Benedictine University.
